Cardiovascular diseases are still the main cause of death in third-world and developing countries, and this is true for children, adolescents as well as adults. In some countries, untreated heart diseases & congenital heart defects in children below the age of 5 cause more deaths than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.This is why the EurAsia Heart Foundation has established a medical network in Eastern Europe and Asia that deals with heart and cardiovascular diseases of all age groups.

I went to Ethiopia with Dr. Tondo and was instantly taken by this great Project. Since then I've worked with others to make his vision visable.
